The Catcher in the Rye #1

Well, I'm not completely sold on the book yet. It's taking a while to get into it and everything, but I hope it gets better. To be honest, I like the fact that it cusses in the book because I think it makes it more realistic. I like Holden's character, but he is, at times, very hard to understand. I'm not sure if I like Salinger's style of writing yet. It'll take some more before I figure that out, but right now I'm just kind of confused with the way he words things. I hope it picks up...

    Cussing, sex, alcohol, pimps, violence . . . this book really has it all. I think when all is read and done, you'll like it.

    this is possibly the greatest blog ever written in the world... i love it. I agree with the cussing, i think if it wasn't there it would take away from the realism of the book.

    well i think that cussing makes the book more realistic, but i am sick of hearing GD this, GD that and for chrissake. its not vulgar its just annoying
